Welcome
I'm so glad you're here! Whether you're just curious about starting therapy or committed to starting the process for yourself or a loved one, I'm happy to help in any way I can.
Hi! I'm Evan (he/him)
I am an Associate Clinical Social worker providing psychotherapy services in-person to the South Bay, Los Angeles area and throughout California virtually. I approach our work together through the lens that, as humans, we heal through relationships and that at many times, there are forces outside of our awareness that may be contributing to our struggles. I prioritize creating a space where you feel safe exploring all parts of yourself to feel more connected and integrated with your most authentic self and community. At the heart of my approach is the belief that true presence and deep listening can be a profound remedy.
As a clinical social worker and therapist, I'm passionate about supporting teens, adults, families, and couples with concerns related to:
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Men's Issues
-
LGBTQIA+ Issues
-
Adolescent/Teen Issues
-
Relationship disturbances
-
Shame
-
Trauma & PTSD (including Complex PTSD)
-
Exploration of identity/sense of self

About Me
I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker under the supervision of Leah Niehaus, LCSW. I approach therapy through a depth-oriented, trauma-informed lens that privileges the relationship created between the two of us. My style is warm while also empowering clients to look inward to explore parts of themselves they may not have looked at in the past. In this way, I believe profound growth and improvement in symptoms can be found. I do not adhere to a “one-size-fits-all” approach and will tailor treatment to your specific experiences, identities, and goals. As a social worker, I received my Master’s degree from Boston College, which focused on treating psychological difficulties while examining how cultural and systemic forces contribute to one’s struggles. Further, I was a member of Boston College’s Latinx Leadership Institute where I took classes in Spanish tailored to the dynamic issues specifically impacting the Latinx community. I provide services in both English and Spanish.
Before joining Leah's practice, I worked as a crisis counselor for a local and nationwide suicide hotline, a non-profit working with children and adolescents in schools and their community, and at a community mental health clinic providing individual therapy to adults, teens, and adolescents. I also spent a year in Spain as an English language teacher which expanded my worldview and enabled me to hold multiple cultural contexts and truths at once.
Outside of the therapy space you can find me exploring hiking trails and beaches in the area as well as at home trying different vegetarian recipes.

I believe in affordable and accessible mental health care. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to clients in need.
Cancellation Policy
Things happen and I understand if you can't make an appointment. However, I do ask that if you need to cancel our session, please do so at least 24 hours ahead of your appointment time.
Cancellations less than 24 hours ahead of time will result in you being charged the full session amount as booked.
Insurance
I am an out of network provider, meaning I am not on any insurance panels.
At the end of each month, however, I am able to provide you with a Superbill. This is an itemized receipt of your mental health services that you can provide to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
Please check with your insurance provider to gain an understanding of how to work with an out of network provider:
-
Do I have out of network benefits?
-
What is my out of network deductible?
-
Do they cover counseling services?
-
How do I submit a Superbill for reimbursement?
Good Faith Estimate
At the beginning of our work together, you will be given a Good Faith Estimate so that you will know an estimate for the costs involved.
